For activation, you've just been sent an email that contains the "confirmed" link.

In order to activate your subscription, check your email and click on the "confirm link" in that email. 

If you choose at a later date to deactivate your Subscription, there will be a notification "link" at the bottom of the emails sent.   When deactivating, the deactivation of your subscription will have taken place immediately.
